Bombo Crash by Kieran Stone

Bombo Crash

January 11, 2018

Here is a shot of Bombo Quarry in NSW, Australia. A popular spot for photographers and Instagrammers alike. The power of the water here is palpable as it's ferocity is both hypnotically calming and curiously exciting. The rock stacks are about 10-15 metres high from sea level and the crashing of the waves often sends water many metres above and over them.
The danger the water swell here represents cannot be underestimated as rouge waves can arrive in an instant and sweep unsuspecting visitors off their feet and into the chaos below.

I love every aspect of this image; nice composition and tone, the long exposure really works well for the flow of the water here too.

Wow, what an "out of this world" image. You perfectly hit the shutter speed to get the feeling of the strength of the waves. And the combination of the golden sunlight and the blueish water is gorgeous.
