I got myself beauty dish about 4 years ago when I started getting into photography, but never really used it until I took it out of my cupboard last year. Can't believe I was hiding it from myself for so long. Of course, I couldn't get any pleasant results with it when I just got it as my photography skills were somewhere around zero, but few things has changed since then.

Lit with 44cm silver beauty dish and silver reflector.

Love it! I cant help but feel there is a little too much space at the bottom though. Awesome catch light.

Thanks, Christian! Agree, tighter crop would give a bit better feeling.

Tighter crop would make the image stronger. Personally too much softening for me and, I believe, it almost makes the shot look fake.

Thanks for your feedback, Andy. The whole beauty sector can be considered as fake, but if we talk about this particular image - nothing was softened here.

Ha... I agree with your point about the beauty sector. No softening? Huh.. ok.

Amazing results. me too I was avoiding using a beauty dish for quite some time. My concern is, if I used it with a model who has skin imperfections, I've been told that a beauty dish will accentuate these skin problems. What do you think?
