Pu'u Lava Flow
October 7, 2019
Kilauea's blistering lava flows meet the sea. The lava flow from the Pu'u crater spills over the pali (cliff) on the Big Island, Hawaii in a series of lava falls at twilight. A sacred place for Native Hawaiians recognized in 1980 when it was named a World Biosphere site by UNESCO and in 1987 when the park was again honoured as a World Heritage site.
