Teatro Antico di Taormina

Teatro Antico di Taormina is one of Taormina’s most spectacular architectural sights. The second-century Greek Theatre, which, despite its name, is actually an ancient Roman amphitheater built in the Greek style. Sitting high above the coast, the theater has beautiful views over Taormina, the Sicilian coastline, and Mount Etna. Performances from ancient plays to Sting have graced the two-thousand year old structure - with perfect views from every vantage point.
