James Island Sunrise

James Island is just off the coast of La Push, Washington. On a clear cold October morning I wandered the shore and came across a small stream running into the ocean. The fallen tree at the streams edge was a nice lead to the island. There I waited for the best light of the morning and captured this image.

the log in the foreground just "blends in" with the rocks and water nearby. Perhaps using the water as the subject and getting further down to ground level, or using a rock as the subject and doing the same would "clean up" the image.
Another idea is just zooming in to the land in the background to remove the rocks and log altogether.
