Elephant Shrews or Sengis are arguably the cutest of the Africa "Little 5" animals. This little guy - a Short-snouted Sengi - was living in a rocky cleft in a brushy area where he had a good view from a position of safety.
I took the image with a Canon 7D Mark II with an EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens with a 1.4X III teleconverter. The exposure settings were 1/1000 sec, f/8, ISO 2500, 560 mm, handheld.
