
It's that time again, where we wrap up the year and reflect back on some of the best pictures of the year. National Geographic released the editor's picks of the best space pictures. We can't help but look in awe and appreciate the images as well as the vastness of space itself.

anyone have any links to these in higher resolution? They would be great for desktop backgrounds.
I can see why a photo of Buzz Aldrin in 1966 was included because he passed away in 2012. However, that photo of Endeavour docked to the Space Station was in National Geo's Best of 2011.
