Photographer of the Month Awards for 2023

Beginning in January, we'll be selecting a photographer of the month. Each month, we'll cull the best of the most recent photos in the community and select our favorite, featuring that photographer's work. At the end of the year, we'll select an overall winner from the 12 monthly winners, who will win a tutorial of their choice from the Fstoppers store. To qualify each month, you simply must have uploaded an image to your portfolio in the past 30 days. So, get out there, post some photos, and check out the work of the talented Fstoppers community! We're pleased to have you here.

If I win, I’d like Perfecting the Headshot. Thanks, Fstoppers!

Hmmm, I think Mastering Adobe Lightroom.

It was a very tough decision to choose one as they are all excellent. I voted for David Garthwaithe in the end. If I could have voted for a second place it would have been Marieke Kemp. As I said, very, very close. All really excellent work.

Very tough choosing! Sorry, but I'm more interested in seeing a great photographer honored than the free tutorial. :-)

Of all the iconic photographer of the month images, my favorite was Jessica Macrow's "Here's Me" (both versions). I don't know if Jessica is old enough to remember the '60s (I am) but she caught the graphic style and mood perfectly. The image was instantly memorable.

It was tough voting as they are all great photographers. I chose Marieke Kemp because in my opinion it is very tough to shoot pets.

Very tough choice indeed… There is a great number of members in this site with a vast amount of creativity and skill.

I'd enjoy Mike Kelley's Where Art Meets Architecture 1. Thanks!

If I win, I’d love to get Making Real Money: The Business of Commercial Photography, as I’m sure it would help me with my business! Many thanks!

I picked Sanne van Bergenhenegouwen for sheer creativity! I would like Andres Moline's "Mastering Macro Photography" tutorial.

I would love to win "Perfecting the Headshot". Thanks and a happy new year!

It is a very difficult decision, as all the photographers are amazing. If I am selected I would love to get access to Photographing the World 4 Advanced Landscapes with Elia Locardi as I think I could improve my landscape photography skills by accessing that tutorial

So tough, all great and such different styles. I primarily shoot wildlife and love Karthik's work, but David's fine art style was really inspiring. If win I think I would pick The Well Rounded Photographer to broaden my horizons!
