How to light a portrait and determine the proper exposure settings are things that can be objectively codified, and in that sense, they can be a bit easier to learn. My thing is' That i can pose all of my girls and guys and they'll still look at me like huh. So im guessing this something that just takes time. Or you just hire a model instead
