This church is called Maria Gern and is indeed one of the highlights around Berchtesgaden. We have stayed in a nice and cosy apartment just two minutes up the road which allowed us to visit this place a couple of times and every time we went there it was looked breathtaking in a different way. For this image I have used the moonlight to my advantage. For the car trails I have shot a second exposure.

I've seen this composition so many times and I cannot really get the fascination of this location. Of course it is beautiful. But there are some distractions. The dead trees are so annoying. The house left of the church, the street below and so on.
