Hartland Quay

The spectacular cliffs at Hartland Quay with their incredibly contorted rock layers are always worth a visit and at low tide there is plenty of sand, rock pools and rocks to scramble over. In wild weather it is the perfect place to appreciate the power of the sea and wind as the waves crash against the cliffs and shore.

very nice shot Alessio

Great Shot. Love the post processing as well.

This is one spectacular image. Was there more than one filter in use?

Hi there Kevin, yes, I used the big stopper, a GND 0.9 Hard and the Lee landscape polarizer.

This is awesome. I can't imagine how inspired where you on this trip. Is one shot for the whole scene or different shutter speeds for sky and water? Thanks a lot for your great work!

Hi Nicu, I take always single exposures for sunrise and sunset, only for the night sometimes double exposures with a tracking device for the sky.

complimenti alessio per questo scatto fantastico!

this is superb :)
