“Fifties at nine” is a photographic series that criticizes today’s society, aimed at children in particular who seem to grow up so fast and quickly lose their youthful innocence. This topic is depicted by putting children of approximately nine years old in an older, more mature setting of the fifties era. The core themes in this series are unfaitfulness, love, addiction and maturity.
