Shark shepherd

My underwater explorer series gained a new piece on a recent diving trip to the Bahamas. Quite an amazing feeling to be surrounded by these huge but graceful sharks. They showed a great amount of emotional intelligence and not once did I feel unsafe while visiting their realm. This is not a photo manipulation. There really were a lot of sharks in the water. wow great post man!

Thanks very much :)

One of the best photos I've seen on here in a while that doesn't rely entirely on composite work to give the scene the tension and grandeur. Excellent stuff.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. :)

This is so awesome. It looks so surreal, I love it. Composition is also great

Thank you, happy to read your comment! :)

Wow! Very cool, Anna!

Thank you very much!

Good photographs make me want to be where they're shot; however this time I'm fine where I'm at.

:D

Wow, what a fantastic feel to this image, are the divers bubbles photoshopped out or did you wait till the bubbles left the frame. lighting is perfect.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment. There was a small streak of bubbles coming out from a leaking tank valve or something, I cloned those out.

I am not sure that I would have been so sanguine about so many sharks so close, but that shark in the foreground is stunning.

Thank you, these sharks were lovely to dive with. Very calm and predictable.

That! Is! Wet!

I'd love to see a color version of this, but the BW does something.
Epic photo.
Well Done.

Thank you for the lovely comment. Color version is very bluish and bland because it was shot against the sun. I knew I wanted to edit this in B&W, so I chose the direction of light with that in mind :)

I totally understand. I just put out a lake shot I previously didn't like because it came to life when I went to B&W. The yellowing sun looked sick. Fantastic photo, Anna.
