Singapore Before Dawn

Here's my take on one of the most frequently photographed place in Singapore. This was at the top of my list this year since I was unable to capture a blue hour shot of this place last year. There's just so many vantage points in this modern city that it is impossible to capture everything on a single trip. The only thing missing here is the iconic Merlion as it is currently under renovation.

For this shot, I blended 2 exposures, one longer exposure for the water and another for the bright signs.

This is so damn good. Love the light flares on all the lights, that matter water reflection. So good

Thanks, Jeff!

Smooth as silk. Killer shot man! Planning a trip to singapore next year!

thanks man. there was very little wind that time and that helped a lot in the smoothness. I'm pretty sure you'l have a great time in SG especially if you're into Cityscapes and Architecture.

cool !

Great image very well done. The crop may take in too much on the left side, the clouds and the crane are a distraction for me the horizontal line of light and the hills?

Thanks Larry. I was actually deliberating whether to remove those or not but decided to just stay with it to add a little bit of character to the image. :)

Uuuuuum good.

I’ve been to the Merlion before cool place

Magnificent capture Well done i like to shoot at night as well ....In Chicago .
