My early exploration of art began with crayons, markers, and, much to the dismay of my parents, my walls and closet door were my canvas. I've been creating for as long as I can remember, whether it was building entire cities from paper grocery bags at grandma's house, sketching my favorite comic book characters, or logo and digital illustration and design. My endeavor into photography began as a hobby, and I shot whatever I pointed my lens at. Over time that hobby had become an obsession, and eventually my passion. Of all the arts in which I've found myself engaged over the years – theater, dance, choir, graphic design – none are as fulfilling to me as creating photos of people.
