I remember early in my photo career being so obsessed with image quality and doing these sorts of tests. Kind of like how audio quality from vinyl to CD to now streaming services had degraded audio, I wonder if the general public even cares anymore? I say that meaning like the difference between the last few 24-70 2.8 lens from DSLRs to this new one on Mirrorless. I def care a lot less but the AF does look impressive.
