A Look at a Powerful Portrait Photography Combination

When you pair Sony's powerful 61-megapixel a7R V mirrorless camera with the FE 135mm f/1.8 GM, it seems like a match made in heaven for portrait photography. How does the combination perform in the real world, though? This excellent video shows you what you can expect.

Coming to you from Julia Trotti, this great video takes a look at the Sony a7R V mirrorless camera in tandem with the FE 135mm f/1.8 GM for portrait photography. With its 61-megapixel sensor and advanced face and eye detection autofocus, the a7R V is definitely near the top of the list for portrait photography. Similarly, as part of the company's esteemed G Master line, the FE 135mm f/1.8 GM offers top-shelf image quality, with high levels of sharpness and beautiful bokeh. 135mm has long been a popular alternative to the classic 85mm focal length for photography, as the extra bit of telephoto compression can be more flattering on subjects' features. The drawback is that the longer focal length requires an increased working distance, which can be a bit of a problem in a studio. However, if you are working outside, as Trotti is here, it is rarely an issue. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Trotti.
