A Review of the Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Lens

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S lens offers its users some of the best optical performance and image quality the company has ever put into a lens, making it a highly desirable option for a wide range of shooters, particularly portrait and wedding photographers. Can it offer what it promises in practice? This excellent video review takes a look at everything you can expect from it.

Coming to you from Hudson Henry Photography, this great video review takes a look at the new Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S lens. 85mm lenses are the classic choice for portrait photography, with a focal length that offers enough telephoto compression to be flattering on most subjects, but that is not so long that it flattens all the geometry that makes every face unique. As such, they are where manufacturers often put some of their best technology and most advanced design. In recent years, we have seen many newer models that not only offer ultra-wide apertures like f/1.4 or f/1.2, but that do so while offering high levels of image quality, meaning you no longer have to sacrifice sharpness for narrow depth of field. The Nikon looks like another impressive entry in this tradition. Check out the video above for Henry's full thoughts on the lens.
