Is This the Ultimate Camera for Landscape Photographers?

When it comes to choice of camera, many landscape photographers desire two things above everything else: resolution and dynamic range. And as such, the Fujifilm GFX 100S looks like one of the most ideal candidates for the genre. How does it hold up in practice? This great video review features a respected landscape photographer sharing his thoughts.

Coming to you from Alister Benn of Expressive Photography, this excellent video review takes a look at the Fujifilm GFX 100S medium format mirrorless camera for landscape photography. The GFX 100 was lauded for offering a 102-megapixel medium format sensor and a range of modern features in a package that cost less than $10,000, seriously challenging the paradigm of medium format. The GFX 100S took that even further by keeping everything in the GFX 100 (including that impressive sensor) expect the built-in grip and reducing the price by nearly half, making medium format a viable alternative to full frame for many users. It is, no doubt, a very intriguing option for landscape photographers. I won't lie: I probably look at my gear and consider selling it for a GFX kit probably once a week. Check out the video above for Benn's full thoughts on the GFX 100S.
