Which Premium Sony 50mm Lens Is Right for You?

If there is one thing the world absolutely does not have a shortage of, it is 50mm lenses for Sony E mount cameras. Two of the best options are the Sony Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA and FE 50mm f/1.2 GM, and this awesome video comparison will show you everything you need to know to choose the right one for your work.

Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this excellent video comparison helps you pick between the Sony Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA and FE 50mm f/1.2 GM lenses. I was lucky enough to use the Planar 50mm f/1.4 for about a month a few years ago, and it was the only 50mm lens I have ever used that I felt inspired by (I just do not care for the focal length), as it rendered, crisp, clean, contrasty, and colorful images that just popped off the screen. However, it has been a few years since that lens came to the market, and the newer 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens gives it a good run for its money, plus it offers a wider aperture for any low-light photographers or bokeh fanatics. No doubt, both are impressive options. Check out the video above for Abbott's full thoughts on both lenses.
