This Mesmerizing Short Video Pushes The Boundaries Of Projection Mapping With Videography

Like new-age magic, 'Box' pushes the concept of projection mapping in ways we've never seen before. Keep in mind, none of the effects you see with the projection mapping itself were done in post processing. This was all done as a live performance, captured on camera as is.

This video was produced by Bot and Dolly. “Bot & Dolly is a design and engineering studio that specializes in automation, robotics, and filmmaking.”

It's amazing to see an orchestra of elements combine to form something this beautiful. The robots in the background work so seamlessly to make everything come together. Even the music adds the perfect touch to wrap it all together.

Here's a little more about the video from the creators:

Box explores the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping on moving surfaces. The short film documents a live performance, captured entirely in camera.

Bot & Dolly produced this work to serve as both an artistic statement and technical demonstration. It is the culmination of multiple technologies, including large scale robotics, projection mapping, and software engineering. We believe this methodology has tremendous potential to radically transform theatrical presentations, and define new genres of expression.

WOW! This could be the next Vegas Strip hit show easily.

James Turrell would be proud.

Mind Blowing

Amazing, thanks for sharing this Pratik

Woah!

I think I saw a plasma tv at best buy running visuals like this the other day. :/

Imagine this in concerts!

Wowwwwwww. That must have taken forever to do :-O

Understatement : That's amazing !!. Statement of the obvious: Nothing done in post-production, perhaps a little bit done in pre-production. Warning: These guys are creative geniuses. They are worthy of great praise for what they have achieved. So perhaps are you. Don't spend too much time wishing you had the assets these guys do, or what you would do if you had that better camera, rig or setup. Do something amazing with what you've got - whether it's your creativity or your equipment, however so humble.

I am literally blown away by the pre-production work and end result. I don't even know what to say.

This would be apt for the next James bond movie intro! superb
