11 Simple Tricks for Better Videos Using Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Adobe Premiere Pro CC is an incredibly powerful video editing suite with a lot of nuance. Here are 11 great tips and tricks for getting the most out of the software in your next project.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop for over 20 years. It's bizarre to say that as I still feel about 20-years-old, but I have been. Over that time I have watched hundreds and hundreds of hours of tutorials, taken courses, developed my own techniques, and had the software central to my workflow for many different tasks. Nevertheless, I am average at best. Perhaps I'm being a touch harsh — I can do most things — but the program is so deep, so intricate, that expertise in it is no easy acquisition.

The reason I bring this up is that I have started working more in the video sector of our industry. I have a number of important projects to me on the horizon and I have been working on both my in-camera videography skills and my post-processing. I have come to realize that Adobe Premiere Pro isn't far off the depth of Photoshop, and that's damned daunting. As I learn the ways of Premiere Pro, I have leaned heavily on a few YouTube channels to help fill the gaps in my knowledge. One YouTuber who has been right at the top of that list, is Aidin Robbins. His videography style appeals to me and he teaches with a soft assertiveness. The world can never have too many proficient teachers!

In this video, Robbins walks you through some simple tips and tricks that might help your videography and editing improve drastically.
