Behind The Scenes With Daniel Rönnbäck, Focusing On The Photographer-Subject Relationship

In the latest behind the scenes video from F-Stop Gear's Life In Focus series, the importance of the relationship between the photographer and subject is explored. Shooter Daniel Rönnbäck is on assignment to capture athlete Martin Soderstrom, and in this video they both share thoughts on working together successfully.

An interesting take on the traditional interview was made for this video. We get to hear from the athlete/subject as much as we hear from the photographer. Learning what is important to the subject, and what makes life easier for them, is valuable insight. Daniel is able to make his subject feel at rest and not push too much for a posed shot, which allows him to get the most natural looking expressions. It comes off more like friends hanging out at the track than it feels like a photoshoot.

Below are some more examples of the photographs from Daniel's shoot.
