Many photographers try to take on cool on-going photography-related projects, and many break in just few days or weeks. You know what i'm talking about - 365 projects or 1 Second Everyday kind of projects. Dutch filmmaker Frans Hofmeester, took on one of these projects and took it to the extreme. He filmed his newborn daughter every week from the day she was born all the way until she celebrated her 14th birthday.
When Lotte Hofmeester was born, her dad decided to film her over a period of time just to document the way she was changing and growing. As time passed, Frans just decided to never stop his project. This week he released his 4 minute video showing his daughter's past 14 years in a very interesting and touching time-lapse.
This is not his only on-going project. Frans is doing the exact same thing with his 11 year-old son.
It's amazing to see someones life in such a short video. Very interesting to see how the face shapes and how a baby becomes an adult and all the different phases in between. Personally I think it's also kind of depressing. Makes you think how life is short and how we get older quicker than we realize.
That's what I call work ethic.

What a wonderful idea. Absolutely beautiful. thanks for sharing it
I love this
I love the use of quick video clips, how they express a moment of emotion in a simple way that a still frame couldn't. Great piece.
Yeah! I felt that it wasn't a timelapse per se but damn it was MUCH nicer to watch!
Wow. beautiful....
whap. flink, slap.....you're dead.

Very nice! I just assembled pictures of our daughter, from birth to 15 1/2. It's amazing to see them grow.
