[Tutorial] Shoot Motion/Multiple Images with Stroboscopic Flash

Do you have a Canon 580EX II or a Nikon SB900 kicking around? I bet you do. I also bet that many of you haven’t taken advantage of their Multi/Stroboscopic Flash modes. Check out photographer R.J. Hidson’s short video on how to use your flash’s Multi Mode to capture multiple images in one frame.

Very cool.  I used a different technique in July 2011.  Multiple images create some very interesting photographs.

I did something recently along the same lines, using a slave flash on a D7000 in manual mode to trip profoto moonlights set up on optical triggers.
