              Samyang 10mm f/2.8 Prototype Introduced For APS-C

Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS UMC CS is a prototype of the ultra wide-angle prime lens designed for use with cameras fitted with APS-C/DX sensors. Its extremely short focus length and rectilinear imaging system ensure extra wide angle of view amounting to 110 degrees (~107 degree for Canon version). As a result the lens is a comprehensive tool for architecture and landscape shooting. New Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS UMC CS is similar to the 35mm system lens with 15mm or 16mm focal length in the case of Canon APS-C cameras.

All details concerning the optical construction of the lens and available mounts will be published at a later date. The lens will be introduced for sale either at the end of 2012 or in the first days of 2013.

Not really the best product photos eh? Oh well. I’m interested in testing these new third party lenses like Samyang and Rokinon.

              • chrislambeth

Yeah. That’s really all I could find on it. :(

              • http://www.facebook.com/hiroschneider Jaron Schneider

No I meant that Samyang needs to find a better product photographer. We shouldn’t see the softbox in the front element haha

all the samyang stuff i’ve seen so far, are crap, and also manual focus, stuff.

And over priced. for what you get.

Please, eleborate; with what Samyang glass you’ve shot? Just because you’re an incapable photographer, that doesn’t mean that the glass is bad. On the contrary: it’s extremely good. And extremely well priced. The 35mm Samyang outperforms the 35mm Canon L lens which is three times as expensive and you call it bad? What about their 14mm and 85mm? Both incredibly good lenses, very well priced.
Bottom line: you’re a retard. Now shoo, you uneloquent asshole.

                Dear  Tijmen Dalhuijsen,
the only response i should give to your reply is Go fuck yourself you “eloquent” asshole.
                Oh yeah and ,Samyang sucks.

                with a better lens?

              • http://cwmcdonald.com/ Charlie

Are there no filter threads on this lens?

              • Mi

Samyang only manufactures cheap lens for professional photograpers. While poor photographers have to look elsewhere.
