I was staying in Forks, Washington when I became aware of this structure. Going there very early in the morning, with winds coming off the Strait at over 50MPH, it was a difficult thing to photograph. Climbing over rocks ranging from the size of a bowling ball to the size of Volkswagon beetle it was hard to get set up. I had to hold the tripod down with my left hand and set up everything one handed. At one point my tripod blew over, and I had to continue to hold it down even through the exposure. Toyo 45A Camera, 90mm Sinaron lens, no filter, Kodak T-Max 100 film. BTW, on a full size image you can count 26 brown pelicans taking refuge from the wind.
