Download These Raw Files From Fujifilm’s Newest Cameras

Fujifilm recently held an event in NYC for photographers to gain hands-on time with their two most recent camera releases. Fstoppers was there, and we are pleased to provide you with three downloadable raw image files from each camera.

Fujifilm’s new cameras are each aimed at a different user base. The X-T50 has a 40-megapixel APS-C sensor and features an interchangeable lens mount but is small enough to serve as an everyday walk-around camera.

The GFX 100S II is a larger, 102-megapixel medium format camera aimed at professional portrait and landscape shooters.

The NYC event was held on a rooftop in Chelsea and featured several models. Attendees were given access to both of the new bodies, alongside many other bodies in the Fujifilm lineup. I had a chance to shoot with both cameras, and although my time with each was brief, I found both bodies comfortable in my hand and easy to operate. The first camera I used was the X-T50. I asked the Fujifilm rep to put the camera in Manual exposure mode and to set the autofocus to an eye selection mode of autofocus. I also asked him to show me how to adjust the ISO. When I used the GFX 100S II, I made these adjustments without assistance. Although I wasn’t used to shooting with either camera, my in-focus hit rate was very high for both, with the majority of images being tack sharp even when I used the APS-C 56mm lens at f1.2 and the medium format 55mm GF lens at f/1.7.

I made some basic adjustments to the images from the GFX 100S II, but I was unable to open the RAW files from the X-T50 in Lightroom Classic or Lightroom.

Capture One just released recently 16.4.1 RAW support for these two cameras.

Funny that it didn't even occur to me to check CaptureOne. I use the program for tethering but I don't like it for anything else.

Latest version of Adobe Camera Raw (Ver 16.2.1.1767) doesn't support these cameras as yet.

It supports GFX 100S II, not X-T50. Below are screenshots of Lightroom and Camera Raw plugin for PS.

I figured it was coming very soon.

Yes, its working! Thanks!

cool idea to post these. not to be too much of a dick, but all the images are soft. maybe not the best endorsement for the camera or lens...
