So please tell me how I can improve a shot like this one... I know it has a little halo around the horizon and am in the process of fixing that in Post... But maybe there are some other pointers to fix along the way...

Great image, I really like it. I agree the only point of concern for me is the the halo above the mountains, and since the lines lead right to it it tends to direct my eyes off frame. But I am a crazy Asian and am use to reading things right to left and not left to right , maybe for others it isn't a problem at all. I think everything else is awesome the textures and colors again great image.
