This image was taken for an altered optics assignment in my college photography course. I chose to use a magnifying glass to alter how the light appears in the image. I used photoshop crop, but otherwise this is straight out of the camera.
I like how the stark contrast between the light and dark areas cause the viewer to notice the stripes first, but then the stripes pull the viewer down to see the hazy outline of the plant.
