A Complete Guide to Setting Up Your New Fujifilm XT5

The new Fujifilm body is getting some rave reviews and if you're lucky enough to own it, you might want to set aside some time to get it firing on all cylinders. This video will help you with exactly that, walking you through the features and hidden tricks and tips.

For the longest time, I didn't do much setting up of cameras. Then again, there wasn't much setup required. However, around the time I bought my first mirrorless — a Sony a7 III — I realized that there were now enough settings that you have to put some time into customizing the camera if you want to get the most out of it; gone were the days where you assign back-button focus and away you go!

The new Fujifilm XT5 has been receiving some favorable reviews and comments since it landed in the hands of photographers and videographers. It has a 40-megapixel APS-C sensor, 7-stop In-Body Image Stabilization, 4K at 120p 10-bit video, and an absurdly strong autofocus system, among many other features. It is a staggeringly impressive camera at an unexpectedly low price ($1,699), making it ideal for hybrid shooters. It also looks utterly brilliant in black and silver!

Nevertheless, with so many features and new tech in the XT5, there comes the opportunity for customization. As optional as that sounds, setting your camera up for your own workflow and making everything you need as accessible as possible can make the world of difference.
