Blueridge Moonset

I was thrilled to get a sunrise and moonset at the same time. the place I was at literally gave me views of both occurring simultaneously.

Once i finished with my sunrise long exposures, i turned my attention the moonset behind me so that I didnt lose it as it was going pretty quickly.

This was a stacked image using the luminosity mask method I read about online.

Shawn, nice image was my initial thought. Once I clicked for a closer look and read your description I thought needs work and this person needs to getup early more. No I’m being too critical. Yes the full moon sets at sunrise every cycle but you done always get the colors in the sky as you did, 3 stars solid. Then I went to full scene well maybe 4 stars. I enlarged the image and scrolled up and saw the star field in the sky and that did it for me.
