On the Red Square in Moscow, Russia is one of the most amazing churches in the world - The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin by the Moat..... or just St. Basil's.
The building of the Cathedral was ordered by Ivan the Terrible to commemorate the 1552 capture of Kazan from Mongol forces. It stod finished in 1560.
