I like to use everything that is loose and stuck and together with the model I look at what kind of way something can help to make the pose more beautiful and easier.
With this photo it was a ladder that stood on Strijp-S, where you can put your hand on one of the steps to make your hand a function and a part of the photo.
Really great shot, Bram! I like your inclusion of the model's hand on the ladder. The extremely shallow DOF works very well here.
