This shot was taken in the autumn of 2017 on my small Nikon D5300. I stumbled upon this image while de-cluttering my HDDs recently and decided to re-edit it. Working through old photos with new techniques not only transports me back to the place where they were taken but makes me feel I've actually made some progress with my photography. This one is an all-time favourite, perhaps a candidate for another edit in a few years, though I'm quite happy with how this version has turned out. It's blend of two photos from two different moments, one for the sunrise, one for the lights on the caldera.
