IG Farbenhaus

The former IG Farben building in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Now part of the University of Frankfurt. During the Cold War this site served as the headquarters for the American occupation of Germany. The building seen in the photo served as the officer's club during the occupation.
Watching over the reflecting pool is the Fritz Klimsch statue "Am Wasser". After WW2 Mamie Eisenhower had the statue removed as she saw it being unfit to have a nude in a military installation. Since then it has been returned to its original spot.
