Chicks of the king penguins are very inquisitive when it comes to visitors, South Georgia. So when I was flat on my belly down on the earth to try and get a proper perspective of the colony of king penguins, this little guy came over and started watching me closely. At this age, they are as large as an adult king penguin, but they still have their "baby" brown fluffy coat. Not before long, they will start shedding, and then they are ready to turn to the ocean and start their first swimming expedition.
