Stone Harbor NJ Dunes

During the last decade as they've been ravaged by storms and floods of record intensity, New Jersey's coastal communities have been engaged in a racous debate about whether or not to erect massive barrier dunes that block the seaside view but protect the houses. There's not much argument about this in Stone Harbor, where the average sale price of a single-family shore home is $4 million. The borough is currently in the process of pumping $29 million into further replenishment their own dunes which dominate the landscape as shown here.
