The tallest and most iconic church in Iceland, Hallgrimskirkja is an imposing landmark in the center of Reykjavik and is visible throughout the city. The exterior of the church is designed to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland's landscape. A viewing deck is available at the top of the 73 meter (244 foot) tower.
