Gnarled Branches on the pond

Creating a meaningful composition is challenging in wooded settings. In this image I used the water, white gnarled branches, the green leaves and the background trees to create layers of elements to provide a "path through the scene". In summer when everything seems to be too green, opportunities like this allows the photographer to explore different kinds of compositions.
