I was always trying to imitate the "high above the bride" shot where the bride is on the ground while i'm up on a chair. But I personally found it difficult to do well for what I was looking to achieve. That's when I decided to try getting even closer to the subject and really trying to accentuate all the details.
This was the first time I did this type of shot and since then, it's been a regular with all my brides. I get the bride to bring the bouquet high enough be even with her eyes and I shoot down to try to get the eyelashes and flowers in focus.
