I went shooting with the model Rebecca Rocchi in a greenhouse: the light was soft and beautiful, but I just didn't feel inspired by it. Nonetheless, I told her to imagine a story: she's our heroine, trapped in the greenhouse, looking at the world outside the glass, but afraid to get out. The greenhouse is both her home and her jail; it provides her safety, but she feels the need to break the chains.
I created this photo shooting through the dirty glass of the greenhouse and the look on Rebecca's face was all that complexity I was longing to see.
Later on, I adjusted the colours and contrast a bit in Photoshop and that was it.
