Hoodman 3.2" Magnification Loupe From time to time, I find myself in situations where it can be tough to see the back of my camera's LCD screen. This magnification Loupe is really handy and allows you to see all the details of your image. I find this most useful when I'm shooting golden hour shots and the sun is hitting the back of my screen; this not only provides shade but it also magnifies the overall image.
Really Right Stuff L Bracket for D810 This bracket is what you need to mount your camera to the Really Right Stuff tripod heads. It's a streamlined design so it isn't too bulky like some of the other plates I've used, and the "L" shape allows you to quickly and easily flip your camera from landscape orientation to portrait compositions. Once you've used one of these you will never go back to a traditional tripod plate.
Really Right Stuff L Bracket for Fujifilm XT-1 This plate is exactly the same as the plate for my Nikon D810 but this one is molded to fit the smaller FujiFilm XT-1 cameras.
Nikon Micro Fiber Cleaning Cloth As you saw in the tutorials, my gear can get pretty dirty, wet, and grimey from time to time. I like having these micro fiber cloths tucked away in all my camera bags, filter bags, and at least one in every jacket I own. Nothing is worse than getting a water drop on your lens during the perfect lighting event and not having something to adequately clean off the water from your lens. These are cheap so I'd recommend getting a bunch of them so they are always near by.
Lexar Dual USB 3.0 Card Reader Every photographer needs a good card reader and this is the best card reader on the market. It uses USB 3.0 so the transfer speeds are really fast, and it also has two slots for both Compact Flash and SD cards. I travel with 2 of these both for backup and to help speed up the transfers if I have more than 2 cards to download.
Sandisk Extreme Pro 64 Memory Cards There is a big debate among photographers about which memory cards to buy and which brand to invest in. All of my cards are Sandisk and I truly believe they are the most reliable memory cards on the market (their customer service rocks too). My philosophy is to go with a single 64 GB card in each camera and never remove it until it's time to download them back at the hotel. My Fuji cameras take the SDs, the Nikon D810 takes a Compact Flash, and my DJI Phantom takes the Micro. Stock up on these too because buying large memory cards when traveling are always way more expensive.
Seagate Backup Plus Fast 4TB USB3 External Harddrive Since I am 100% location independent, I do not have the luxury of storing all my images on a large server, NAS box, or multiple hard drives. I travel with 2 of these Seagate Backup Plus drives and everything I shoot goes onto both of them for redundancy. I also store each drive in a different bag so if one luggage is stolen or lost I still have backups of everything I have shot. There isn't much to say about an external harddrive but these are great and I love the rigidness of them too.
Ebag Packing Cubes Because I pack and repack my luggage multiple times a week, I wanted to share with you something that has made my life a lot easier on the road. These packing cubes help me keep extra cords and accessories organized without letting them get tangled in my clothing. These are also great for dirty laundry and hiding valuables in if you do wind up having to pack a lens in your checked bag.
