During a trip to Los Angeles my girlfriend and I decided to walk around Santa Monica Pier with our friend. As we began to cross over from the boardwalk to the street, I stopped to watch the people who were below me on the beach. The young child seen in the foreground caught my eye while he slowly waddled across the wet sand. It was the type of simple event which causes warm joy and a growing smile to wash over you. That along with the beautiful mountain range stretching across the background of Los Angeles was my motivation for pressing the shutter (as well as getting left behind by my company).
