This is easily the most captivating scene I've been lucky to feast my eyes upon. Below me was a sea of cloud filling up the volcanic caldera and swallowing up the light pollution from Santa Cruz de La Palma, one of the few cities found on the Canary Island, La Palma. Above me were the darkest skies I've ever witnessed, lit up with all kinds of jewels. This huge panorama of the Milky Way was taken during moonrise and also features the planets, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter. It was this moment that convinced me that I had found my heaven on Earth.

GORGEOUS
Thanks David!
This is awesome. I wish i could see more of the cloud inversion. Did you consider centering the moon in the composition?
Yeah it's a shame the inversion didn't come up higher that night (and getting lower and closer to it was rather dangerous!). I did originally consider centering the moon but with this crop I felt there was a better balance with the foreground and also allows the eye to continue down to the inversion, rather than the moon dominating the scene so strongly in the middle. Thanks for your comment!
Killer shot mate !
Thank you :)
