I really like the idea of visualizing the person's view to the stars by the headlight (although the beam has been added in post, I assume?). Just a pity that there is some much light pollution in the valley beneath.
Interesting image! I think the light (pollution) from the valley adds to the overall image. Different strokes, for different folks!
I love the mood of the image. I guess the only way to control the valley would be bracketing
The large blown out bit is a ski center slope. Normally I would have considered this over-exposed, but I kinda like the fact they like like large glowy rivers lol. Maybe they are a little too over exposed.
I was wearing a head-torch at the time, but yes, the light beam was altered in photoshop.
