Lone trees have always fascinated me. The pure idea of standing so tall, so strong, independent of anything else around them. It inspires me in my own life, that one can survive - no, thrive - even if it feels as though they have not a single person to count on. When I found this tree in the middle of a boulder field, it inspired me moreso than any other I had found so far. The image previsualized, I only had to wait for the right light before crafting this image...

Tones are a bit flat overall. Interesting composition, though.
I really enjoy the processing and light on the tree itself, it's too bad it gets lost in the background.
