While some may rate this a 1 or 2, it looks like the dog is reaching out to the viewer...the basis of an interactive story with the viewer. Switch the model, a dog, with a person who is holding their hand out to you...so I gave it a 3. Needed some work (selective burning/dodging) to rate it any higher.
