Congratulations to the winners!
Those lights are trippy!
It is indeed. Their lights are mostly a projector that shows all these trippy patterns - it's awesome!
I love the mood of this shot
I like the light and the mood, wish the guitar wasn't cropped though
I like the close crop. It sets an emphasis on the relation of the player to his instrument and music.
I mean stockhead, not guitar body. Well sometimes you can't fit it into frame and I get it.
Nice work! I went through the entire group and then went back through and voted for 10 images and this was one. I only give 4s or 5s as the rest of the voting seems based on nothing. Just wanted you to know that I think this is Top 10!
(Edit) Actually - i think if i got to pick, this would be the winning shot. It is unique to the entire group and is exactly what i want to see in a concert shot - someone totally in the grip of their music, great lighting and an intimate feeling like I could be there. Superior work.
First of all, thank you, Ruth. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion with me.
Concert photography is such a hard genre, where the photographer is merely an observer and trying to capture what is going on (which is a bit contrary to the way fstoppers focuses in this).
In this instance, I think I indeed captured a feeling and not just a moment.
Again thank you for taking your time to give a bit of a confidence-boost :-)
