Full disclosure, my mum took this photo (And she isn't a photographer in any sense of the word), I just helped her think about her composition at the scene, how the rock armour on the bay could create a leading line, and so on.
It was special to share my passion and to invite her into the world of thinking about how an image comes together. Maybe the connection through imagery that was created was more important than the image itself. That's something powerful about phones that we often forget; everyone around us has a camera now, which means we can share our passion with people who have the means in their pocket at any given moment.
It might not be the best mobile shot of all time, but for someone with absolutely 0 photogtaphy experience, I think its ok! We edited on mobile too using picsart to compete that "authentic" mobile experience 🤣
